ONEONTA, NY - The Nazareth men's basketball team traveled to Hartwick for a neck-to-neck game on Saturday, with the Golden Flyers coming out victorious, 75-68. Nazareth is now 12-5 overall and 7-1 in conference play, while Hartwick is 7-10 and 1-7, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After the half, Nazareth was up by 2 points leaving the score to 37-35.
- Merritt Holly, led the team with 11 points scored in the first half, and a total of 21 points for the game and seven rebounds.
- There were several lead changes in the second half. With the game tied at 61 with under four minutes to play, Nazareth took the lead for good off a Jaylen Savage jumper.
- Luke Insley led the team with six assists and dominated the score board with a total of 24 points on 8-of-9 from the floor.
