ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth women's rowing team was able to get in its first race on the water for the spring on Sunday taking on St. John Fisher and RIT on the Genesee River.

Nazareth's Novice 4 of Morgan Springer, Allison O'Hanlon, Madelyn Collier, Abigail Engler, and Coxswain Isabella Valenta took second place in 8:47.9, behind RIT at 8:39.6. St. John Fisher was third in 9:17.2.
 
In the Varsity 4 race Madelynn Racaniello, Mary Thornburg, Katherine Wilburn , Laurelle Ogden, and coxswain Jennifer Beaver took third (8:47.6) behind Fisher (8:27.8) and RIT (8:38.0.
 
Nazareth returns to action on Saturday against Geneseo.
