ALFRED, NY – Senior
Sophia Scialdone totaled 11 points on five goals and six assists for women's lacrosse in the 20-6 win over Alfred University Wednesday evening.
The Golden Flyers improve to 9-5 overall (5-1 in the E8) while the Saxons drop to 5-8 overall (2-4 in the E8).

Liddie Hoare began the scoring for Naz with an unassisted goal and senior
Makenna Misiurewicz followed closely behind with a goal less than a minute later, assisted by Scialdone. Both Hoare and Misiurewicz would go on to score an additional goal in the first quarter, as well as Scialdone and junior
Grace Gardner for a 6-2 score.

Julia Dietz had a two-point night with an assist to both Hoare and Gardner in the first half.

Katherine McPeak scored one of two woman-up goals at the beginning of the second half, as well as an even-strength goal later. Scialdone netted two additional goals, while graduate student
Emily Paddock notched her lone goal of the game for an 11-3 lead heading into halftime with a running clock.
Scialdone, Hoare, and Gardner all added to their even-strength goal totals for the day during the third quarter, while McPeak managed to net an additional woman-up goal for a 16-4 lead. Graduate student
Grace Morse was credited with an assist on Hoare's third goal of the game.
Scialdone scored her fifth of the game, while sophomore
Megan Martin netted her lone goal of the game with just over 8 minutes remaining in the game. Senior
Emily Reichard wrapped up the scoring for the Golden Flyers with two goals approximately 90 seconds apart, junior
Sydney Dann earning an assist on the second goal for a final score of 20-6.

Allie Klestinec made 5 saves for the win in three quarters and freshman
Gianna Tantalo made one save in the fourth quarter to close out the game.
The Golden Flyers are back in action at home on Saturday, April 19th against St. John Fisher University for a 12 p.m. contest.
