Women's Lacrosse Falls to #16 St. John Fisher

ROCHESTER, NY – Junior Allie Klestinec made a season-high 15 saves, but it was not enough, as the 16th-ranked St. John Fisher Cardinals handed the Nazareth women's lacrosse team a 16-7 loss on Saturday at NLPA Field.

Nazareth drops to 9-6 overall and 5-2 in conference play, while the Cardinals remain unbeaten at 14-0 and 7-0, respectively.

The first quarter was the quietist of all, with just three goals being scored. Nazareth's goal came from Liddie Hoare.

Fisher scored three-straight in the second before Sophia Scialdone netted one of her two goals in the quarter. Nazareth trailed 9-3 at the half.

Scialdone led Nazareth with three goals.

Nazareth closed with the final two goals of the third quarter to pull within 13-7, behind goals from Hoare and Katherine McPeak. McPeak finished with two goals and a team-high four ground balls.

The Golden Flyers were held without a goal in the fourth.
