PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL – The Nazareth women's lacrosse team was held to its lowest goal output of the season on Tuesday night, falling 17-7 to Hope College.
Nazareth drops to 3-4 overall, while Hope improves to 3-3.
Makenna Misiurewicz scored the first goal of the game and then the Golden Flyers were held without a goal for nearly 20 minutes. During that scoring drought Hope scored nine-straight goals to open up a 9-1 lead.
Emily Paddock,
Julia Dietz and
Grace Gardner scored goals in the second quarter and the Golden Flyers trailed 11-4 at the half.
Misiurewicz scored another goal in the third quarter along with
Emily Reichard.
Nazareth's other goal in the fourth came from
Sophia Scialdone.
Allie Klestinec played nearly 40 minutes, making eight saves and allowing 14 goals.
Gianna Tantalo played 20:38, making four saves and allowing three goals.
Nazareth returns to action on March 29, hosting Utica at 12 p.m. to open up Empire 8 play.
