NABC All-District Release
ROCHESTER, NY -On Tuesday, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced its All-District Teams and Nazareth junior
Jaylen Savage was tabbed to the First Team for District 3, in addition to being named the Region Player of the Year.
Savage is the first NABC First Team All-District selection from Nazareth since Tyler Stenglein in 2017-18. The Empire 8 Player of the year was a model of consistency all year, averaging 21.0 points and 6.1 rebounds in 35.3 minutes per game on a 44.7 field goal percentage. In conference play, he averaged 21.1 points per game, 7.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. His 217 made field goals (15th nationally) was an Empire 8 record. He was also extremely stead from the charity stripe, shooting 87.9 which ranked 28th in the country.
Some of Savage's accolades include; being named Empire 8's Player of the Year as well as being a First-Team honoree, Empire 8 All-Tournament Team honoree, two-time Empire 8 Player of the Week, and Mike Daley Memorial Tournament's All-Tournament Team.
