Amy Laskowski netted the lone goal in the game and Mckinley Hoff made 23 saves as the 15
th-ranked Nazareth women's hockey team secured a huge 1-0 UCHC conference victory over #13 Utica on Saturday. With the win, Nazareth now controls its own destiny for the regular season title with four conference games remaining.
Nazareth is now 14-6-1 overall and 6-2 in UCHC play (19 points), while Utica is 15-6 and 6-2, respectively (17 points).
After a scoreless first period, Laskowski scored at the 8:33 mark on a great individual effort. Starting out of the defensive zone,

Nikki Sharp, who found a streaking Lasowski up the ice. After crossing the blue line, Laskowski had a toe-drag, backhand-to-forehand goal. It was her team-leading ninth goal of the season.
Hoff was strong all night, making eight of her 23 saves in the third period. She now has 29 career shutouts.
The Pioneers pulled the goalie with 1:55 left in the game, but the Golden Flyers were up for the task.
Nazareth returns to action on February 14, traveling to Chatham for a 7 p.m. contest.
