HILTON, N.Y. (nazathletics.com) - Nazareth Men's Cross Country seniors
Cameron Almy and
Connor Jackson earned Second Team All-Empire 8 honors, the conference announced Monday morning. Jackson also landed on the E8's Tomorrow's Leaders team.
Almy competed in six cross-country meets during the 2025 fall season. He posted a 6 K time of 19:46.5 at Terry Rodenbeck, ran 5 K in 16:01.7 at Hamilton and delivered a season-best 8 K of 26:02.1 at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational. Almy ran 27:14.1 at the Empire 8 Cross Country Championships on November 1 and closed his season with a 26:18.5 8 K at the NCAA Niagara Region Cross Country Championships on November 15, finishing 37th.
Jackson raced in six meets this fall for Golden Flyers Cross Country. He opened with a 6K of 20:26.5 at Rodenbeck, ran 16:11.2 at Hamilto and then produced one of his strongest efforts with a 25:35.2 8K at the Highlander Invitational. He followed with a 27:12.3 at the Empire 8 Championships on Nov. 1 and closed his season with a 26:16.1 at the NCAA Niagara Regional on Nov. 15.
Jackson is also Nazareth's representative on the Empire 2025 Men's Cross County Tomorrow's Leaders Team. This team honors a student-athlete who has emerged as a leader not only on the field of play, but in the classroom and in the community. In addition, they "compete with honor and integrity" and have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsperson.
