ROCHESTER, NY - The Golden Flyers secure their ninth win of the season with a dominant performance over SUNY Morrisville on Tuesday evening. 

How It Happened:

• The Golden Flyers got on the board fast, scoring just 3 minutes into the game. Michaela Cushman scored off a pass from Audra Mieczkowski. A shot from the left side beat the goalie bottom right, to make the score 1-0 Nazareth. 

• To begin the second quarter, Michaela Cushman scored again to extend the Nazareth lead. Minutes later, she had a great opportunity to complete the hattrick but was stopped by the Morrisville goalie

• To close out the first half, Nazareth scored two quick goals, courtesy of Hannah James and Hanna Barrett. The first half ended with Nazareth in the lead, 4-0

• Halfway through the 3rd quarter, Nazareth would make it 6-0 when freshman Kristina Fisher scored twice in less than two minutes 

• With five minutes to go in the 3rd quarter, Hannah Barrett would add another goal, her second of the game

• The final goal was a beautiful one, coming off the stick of Isabel Porterfield to complete the 8-0 victory for the Golden Flyers

• Nazareth finished the game outshooting Morrisville, 27-10, with 16 of them being on goal

Game Notes:

• Lauren Bachner recorded her 4th shutout of the season 

• Michaela Cushman registered her team leading 9th and 10th goal of the season

• Hannah Barrett, Michaela Cushman, and Kristina Fisher all recorded two goals

• The Golden Flyers will travel to SUNY Brockport on Saturday, October 18th at 4 p.m. for an Empire 8 matchup
