ALBANY, NY - The Golden Flyers (0-17, 0-3) drop another Empire 8 match in straight sets to Russell Sage on Friday Night (8-7, 3-2). 
 

How It Happened:

• The opening set started as a closely contested match as Nazareth trailed 7-10, but a late surge from Russell Sage was enough to take the first set handily, 25-12. 

• The second set was extremely competitive, as both teams traded points back and forth. Nazareth went up by two points to make the score 16-14 and then took the lead back again at 19-18. Russell Sage would go on to win six of the next seven points to take the second set 25-21.

• The third set started differently as Nazareth found themselves in a hole early, going down 14-9. They battled back but the lead was too much to overcome and Russell Sage went on to take it 25-17.

Game Notes:

• Leah Fusilli led the team in kills and digs, with 8 and 9 respectively

• Sarah Harvey was one behind with 7 kills
