ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Nazareth women's basketball remains undefeated in conference play after an 84-55 win over Keuka at home on Saturday afternoon. Freshman Payton Littlefield led the scoring with 17 points including five buckets from behind the arc.

With the win, Nazareth's record improves to 14-3 overall and 8-0 in the Empire 8 conference, while Keuka drops to 5-12 overall and 0-8 in the conference.

The first quarter was pretty back-and-forth until the two-minute mark when Nazareth was up 17-13. For the last two minutes of the first, the Golden Flyers went on an 11-0 run, only missing one bucket in the process. In the first quarter, Nazareth shot an impressive 58.82% from the field and 50% from the three to give themselves the 28-13 advantage heading into the second quarter.

In the second quarter, the Golden Flyers continued to slowly further the lead, outscoring the Wolves 18-10 in the quarter to put Nazareth up by 23 heading into the second half.

Scoring in the first half for the Golden Flyers was Madalyn Kelly with 13 points including four 3's, Littlefield with eight, Molly Benetti with six, Leah Fusilli and Katie MacLachlan each with five, Chianna Williams with four, Sarina McDowell with three, and Kiara Anglin with two.

The third quarter yielded a bit of a scoring lull for the Golden Flyers, who went 25% from the field, allowing the Wolves to outscore them 18-13. Heading into the final quarter of play, the score was 59-41 in favor of Nazareth.

However, the lull was no problem for the Golden Flyers as they came back in the fourth shooting over 56 percent from the field. With two minutes and 43 seconds left to play, the Golden Flyers held the biggest lead of the game at a score of 78-48. In the final minutes of play, the teams traded a few buckets, ultimately giving Nazareth the win at a score of 84-55.
