ROCHESTER, NY – First-year players
Brooke Judkiewicz and
Ella Mannila each netted their first-career goals as Nazareth raced past Chatham 7-0 in UCHC action on Friday night at Tim Hortons Iceplex.
It was Nazareth's first UCHC game since November 23, with nine non-conference games in between. The Golden Flyers move to 10-5-1 overall and 4-1 in UCHC play, while Chatham drops to 2-13-1 and 0-5, respectively.
It was four goals for the Golden Flyers in the first period, two in the second, and one in the third.
Judkiewicz started the scoring just 3:20 into the game and netted her second of the day with less than minute left in the second period.
Abby Flanagan netted the second and fourth goals for Nazareth, pushing her season total to 5.
Mannila's first-career goal came 12:26 into the first period off an assist from
Maggie Jacoby.
In the second period, Amy Laskoski took a beautiful outlet pass from goaltender
McKinley Hoff and went the rest of the way for the goal. It was Hoff's first-career assist in 74 career games.
6:51 into the third period, two-time All-American
Julia Holmes netted her first goal of the year to close out the scoring. She also had two assists in the game.

Ivey Lyden, Laskowski,
Alexis Kindred,
Allie Zack, and Sophia Pittis all had assists.
Hoff wrapped up her sixth shutout of the year and 28
th of her career.
Nazareth hosts Chatham on Saturday at 1:45 pm for the Face-off against cancer game.
