Top 100 Moment: 2010 - Softball pitcher Kelly Kocher leads the nation in strikeouts per game at 14.12

ROCHESTER, NY - In 2010, Nazareth softball pitcher Kelly Kocher led the nation at 14.12 strikeouts per game. The sophomore pitched in 21 games and amassed 237 strikeouts in 137.1 innings for a Division III-leading 14.12 strikeouts per seven innings. 

Kocher finished with a 13-7 record and a 1.12 earned run average with nine shutouts. She earned first-team Northeast Region all-star honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and was also named Empire 8 Conference Pitcher of the Year.

For her career, Kocher also ranks among the NCAA-best with an 11.18 average.
