ROCHESTER, NY - The Nazareth women's basketball team won its first-ever Empire 8 Championship on April 8, 2021 by a score of 67-62 against St. John Fisher.

The game was tight until the last few possessions. Jadyn Abrams converted a basket with :24 seconds to play to up Nazareth's lead to 65-62. Ryan Stefaniak scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebound to be named Tournament MVP. 

Nazareth finished the pandemic-shortened season 10-2, while Fisher was 9-3.
