Michaela Cushman extended her scoring streak to three games with her goal against SUNY Morrisville as the Golden Flyers fell 3-1 on Friday night to the Mustangs.
The Golden Flyers drop to 1-2 overall and the Mustangs sit at 2-3 overall.
Cushman managed to net her unassisted goal at the end of the first quarter, but Nazareth was held scoreless throughout the remainder of the game, despite producing 17 shots over the last three quarters. The freshman has scored a goal in each of her first three games.
Morrisville produced one goal apiece in the second, third and fourth quarters.
Mackenzie Halliday faced all 20 shots in the contest, and the junior's save percentage sits now at 0.643. She made eight saves in the game
The Golden Flyers open up Empire 8 play at Geneseo against the Knights on Wednesday September 18 at 7 p.m.
