ROCHESTER, NY - After a 15-year hiatus from the NCAA Tournament, the Nazareth women's volleyball team returned the the national stage in 2000 and went on to qualify the next three seasons.
Nazareth posted three consecutive seasons with 36 wins (2000 - 36-6; 2001 - 36-3; 2002 - 36-6) and went 29-10 in 2003. The 2003 season marked the first for head coach Cal Wickens.
In 2000 Nazareth dropped a five set opening round match to Cortland in its NCAA tournament appearance.
The 2001 season saw the Golden Flyers advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals, falling in five sets to Wellesely. In the following season, Nazareth made it back to the NCAA Quarterfinals, dropping a four set contest to Trinity.
In the 2003 season, Nazareth was defeated by Cortland in straight sets in the second round.Â
