HOUGHTON, NY – The Nazareth men's cross country team successfully captured a 3-peat of the Empire 8 Championship by collecting just 23 points for the 2022 Championships on October 29. 

The Golden Flyers dominated with seven of the top 10 spots to cruise to the victory. Senior Nathan Bowers led the pack in second place with a time of 25:48.2, while Matt Reimann was third place in 25:50.2.

The fifth place finisher and third Golden Flyers to cross the line was Cade Eells (26:08.3) and senior Nathan McNally was next at 26:11.2 while freshman Joey Everts (26:11.9) rounded out the scoring for Nazareth.

Antonio Benitez (26:17.6) was eighth overall and Ethan Kenyon (26:28.3) was ninth.

Nazareth's first title came April 9, 2021 which was technically the 2020 championship rescheduled due to COVID. THe Golden Flyers followed that up with a win in the fall of 2021.
