ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth men's basketball team bounced #2-ranked University of Rochester 70-59 in the JPMorgan Chase Championship game on January 18, 2003. It was the Golden Flyers first JPMorgan Chase title since 1987.

Jimmy Evans led the way with 20 points on 7-for-14 shooting, including going 4-for-8 from 3-point land. He also had five assists and seven rebounds.

Lawrence Maroney Jr. poured in 18 points and nine rebounds.

Ryan Shipley notched a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Jake Steck recorded nine points and three assists.
