GENEVA, NY – #15 men's volleyball lost its first-ever matchup to #15 Hobart in three sets on Wednesday night, 25-13, 25-18, 25-17. Hobart is in its inaugural season and a part of the UVC conference.
Nazareth falls to 12-6 overall and 0-3 in conference play. Hobart is now 13-7 and 1-2, respectively.
The Golden Flyers managed just 21 kills in the match compared to 43 for the Stateman.
Hobart was not hindered much on the offensive end, as they hit .507 for the match with 32 kills on 67 attempts with nine errors. Meanwhile, Nazareth had 21 kills on 67 attempts with 13 errors for a .119 attack percentage.
Andrew Bodensteiner led Nazareth with eight kills on 12 attempts for a .583 attack percentage.
Max Stuver put together six kills and five digs.
AJ Burda had 15 assists and a team-leading six digs.
Nazareth returns to action on Friday, traveling to #8 Juniata for an 8 p.m. matchup.
