Biography
Communication and Media major... son of Jennifer Shaw-Jackson, Union Springs, N.Y... returns for a fifth season for Nazareth after working as an assistant coach for the University of Rochester women’s volleyball team in the Fall … he appeared in 22 matches and 66 sets as a senior last year and totaled 41 digs and five aces … had a career-high 15 digs in the win at Elms (3/11) … named to the UVC All-Academic team.
2022: Jackson appeared in 14 matches in 2022 for a total of 28 sets played... finished with 29 digs, six kills and seven service aces... recognized on the UVC All-Academic team (3.3 GPA or higher).
2021: Jackson played in seven matches in 2021 and 13 sets... represented the Golden Flyers on the United Volleyball Conference's All-Academic team for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.30 and above.
2020: Jackson appeared in four matches in 2020 and had 14 kills and nine digs... had seven kills each in three-set sweeps of Potsdam and Medaille on 3/7/20... competed for the Golden Flyers' indoor track and field team in 2020 and cleared 1,17 meters (5 feet, 7 1/4 inches) in the high jump.
Scholastic: a 2018 graduate of Union Springs High School, Jackson is a transfer to Nazareth from Ithaca College... competed in track and cross country at Union Springs and helped cross country team to four straight Onondaga League titles... helped track team to 2017 Interscholastic Athletic Conference title and won Section Four titles in the 800-meter run and the 4 x 400-meter relay.
