ROCHESTER, NY – Senior Elizabeth Tripp scored a 50.40 on her sixth dive of the day to move up in the standings and finished eighth overall at the NCAA Division III Diving Regional on the 3-meter board Saturday at RIT.

Fellow senior Alexa Rizzo who qualified for the NCAA Championships after her second-place finish on the 1-meter board Friday took 15th in the 3-meter competition. The official NCAA Championship qualifiers will be announced Sunday.

Tripp had her highest score on her sixth dive as she scored 50.40 on a Back 2 ½ somersault in the pike position and added three straight scores of at least 40 on her final three dives to finish with an 11-dive score of 406.65.

Rizzo followed up her impressive 1-meter board finish with a 368.40 to finish 15th on the 3-meter board. Her best two dives on the day came in the final two rounds as she scored 40.95 and 41.00 to wrap up the day.
