ROCHESTER, NY - The inaugural game for the men's hockey team on October 18, 2012 proved to be a memorable one as the Golden Flyers downed perennial power Genseo 3-2 in overtime in front of a packed house at the Sports Centre at MCC.

Reed Smith scored the game-winner 3:34 into overtime on a rip from the point. Julius Tamasy had the assist.

Jordan Ciccarello scored the first-ever goal in program history to start the game scoring midway through the first period.

Trailing 2-1 int the third period, Ciccarello netted his second at the 6:32 mark to tie the score.

Goaltender Ed Zdolshek made 50 saves in the win.
