Top 100 Moment: May 7, 2006 - Women's lacrosse defeats Elmira 15-5 to win second consecutive Empire 8 Championship

ROCHESTER, NY - The 14th-ranked Nazareth women's lacrosse team downed Elmira 15-5 in the Empire 8 Championship game on May 7, 2006 to earn its second consecutive title. Nazareth defeated Ithaca 16-5 in the 2005 Empire 8 Championship game.

Against Elmira, Beth Quartier had four goals and Amy O'Donnell netted three. 

Nazareth fell to Franklin & Marshall 10-7 in the NCAA Tournament and finished the season 14-1. Combined with their 2005 record of 14-3, the Golden Flyers were 28-4 over two seasons under Sue Behme.
