The Golden Flyers now stand 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the UCHC, while the Pioneers are 3-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Naz was held scoreless through the first period and couldn't strike against Utica until around the 14-minute mark of the second period, after they gained the advantage on the powe rplay. Junior Blake Frost lasered the puck down to senior Anthony Quinlivan waiting below the goal-line, who passed to Schaeffer. Sophomore Lincoln Crosby entered the game with 3:30 left in the second period and was able to hold off the Pioneers until the final minute of regulation, and the final score was 6-1.
