ROCHESTER, NY - The women's basketball program had a special three years from 1987-1990, making three-straight NCAA Tournament appearances under head coach Mike Decillis. 

The 1987-88 season was the first-time ever that the women's basketball program made an appearance in the NCAA Tournmanent. Nazareth won the NYSWCAA Tournament, downing St. John Fisher 58-45 to earn a bid to the NCAA tournament. The Golden Flyers defeated Buffalo State 79-76 for its first NCAA tournament win before falling to Fisher.

In 1988-89, the Golden Flyers went 24-6, dropping Maryville 71-63 in the first round before a second round loss to Centre, 82-61.

The 1989-90 season saw Nazareth go 23-6, where the purple and gold fell ot Hartwick 71-61 in the East Regional.
