Brynn Furbeck scored her first goal of the season late in the game to lift the Golden Flyers to their 2-1 victory over the Utica Pioneers Saturday night.Â

Nazareth is now 7-5-2 and Utica is 4-9-2.

7 minutes into the game, the Golden Flyers had a stellar build up. Sophomore
Kiyomi Mastro flicked the ball into the back of the net off a shot from
Taylor Ashe to give Nazareth the lead, 1-0.Â

In the 14th minute, the Pioneers scored a goal and tied up the game 1-1.Â

The Golden Flyers had most of the possession within the first half outshooting the Pioneers 9-5.

The first half ended in a score of 1-1.

Shannon Sgombick with an outstanding move to beat a defender, created a shot on net hoping to put the Golden Flyers back in the lead, but it hit the post, just missing the back of the net.Â

Brynn Furbeck to score her first goal of the season putting the Golden Flyers back in the lead 2-1 with only three minutes remaining. The score remained 2-1 at the last buzzer.
