ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth University Field Hockey team was held without an official shot Wednesday night as the University of Rochester scored a 7-0 victory in the non-conference matchup at Nazareth.

Rochester, who had been ranked in the top-25 all season until this week, scored three times in the first quarter and then added one more in the second to take a 4-0 lead into halftime. Two more goals were scored in the third period and the Yellowjackets (5-4) added one more in the fourth for the final tally.

The Golden Flyers surrendered 37 shots and seven penalty corners and gave up goals on a pair of penalty strokes.

Nazareth used all four goalies in the game with freshman Morgan Russo leading the way with 12 saves as the quartet combined to make 18 stops on the night.

Nazareth returns to Empire 8 play Saturday with a 2 p.m. home game against Hartwick and will host Houghton Tuesday night in another conference tilt.
