Park Eclipses 900 Career Rebounds As Men's Hoops Drops Keuka, 81-59

ROCHESTER, NY – Graduate student Jonathan Park moved into third place all-time in career rebounds (912) as Nazareth rolled to an 81-59 victory over Keuka College on Tuesday night. He had 19 points on 9-for-13 from the field, including three dunks, in addition to 15 boards. It was his 13th double-double of the season. Park trails only Brad Ford '14 (944) and Chris Pegan '98 (946) for rebounds on the career record book.
 
Jaylen Savage led the purple and gold with 21 points on 7-for-12 from the floor, to go along with six rebounds and three assists.
 
Nazareth moves to 18-4 overall and 12-3 in Empire 8 play with the victory. The Wolves fall to 7-12 overall and 3-11 in conference play. The Golden Flyers have a pivotal matchup on Saturday at 7 p.m., hosting St. John Fisher in the Battle of the Beaks. Tickets will be available at the door on a first-come-first-served basis. The Cardinals (16-6 overall, 12-3 E8) handed Utica (18-3 overall, 13-1 E8) its first loss in conference play on Tuesday night, winning by a score of 65-63.
 
Logan Blankenberg nailed a 3-pointer from the corner and that was followed up by a putback layup on the ensuing possession from Savage to push Nazareth's first half lead to 22-14 at the 9:20 mark.
 
The largest lead of the half was 14 on a Park layup with just over a minute remaining. He nearly had a double-double in the first 20 minutes with 10 points on 5-for-7 from the field and eight rebounds.
 
It was 37-26 at the half.
 
Nazareth led by double figures for the entire second half and benefited by scoring the first 10 points, five from Park and five from Jordan Haggard, making it 47-26. Haggard finished with 13 points and six rebounds.
 
Savage buried his second 3-pointer of the day to give Nazareth a 69-50 lead with under six minutes to play.
 
Sophomore Jack Broderick chipped in seven points and four boards in the winning effort.
