ROCHESTER, NY – Sophomore Audra Mieczkowski was in possession of Nazareth University's sole goal against SUNY Oneonta on Sunday, a 6-1 loss for the Golden Flyers.
 
Oneonta scored in the last three minutes of the first quarter to take the lead heading into the first break. The Red Dragons took control of gameplay in the second quarter to triple the lead to 3-0 heading into halftime.
 
Naz couldn't stop the offensive effort from Oneonta, who managed to score twice more to lead the game 5-0 heading into the fourth quarter. 
 
Mieczkowski scored her fifth goal of the season off an offensive corner to break the shutout against the Red Dragons. Oneonta closed out the game with a quick goal in the last five minutes of play.
 
Morgan Russo earned the start and played the first quarter, allowing one goal and making a save. Lauren Bachner played the next 34:06, allowing four goals and making seven saves. Mackenzie Halliday logged 10:54 in goal, allowing a goal.
 
The Red Dragons held a 18-10 edge in shots for the game.
 
The Golden Flyers drop to 1-12 on the season and have a 10-day break before they return to Empire 8 play in an away game versus St. John Fisher on Wednesday, October 25.
