HOUGHTON, NY – The Nazareth Men's Soccer team had a few scoring chances Saturday but could not find the back of the net as the Golden Flyers and Houghton played to a scoreless tie in Empire 8 action.

Nazareth (5-2-1 overall, 1-0-1 Empire 8) had nine shots and six on target but Houghton (1-6-1, 0-1-1 Empire 8) goalie Sam Carpenter recorded the shutout for the Highlanders.

Sophomore Logan Menna made four saves to record his second shutout of the season and his ninth career clean sheet.

Graduate student Cuneyt Vardar and sophomore Drew Decker each fired three shots and sophomore Jake Pawlika had a pair of shots for Nazareth.
