DALLAS, P.A. – The Nazareth women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw against St. Lawrence University on Saturday in their first game of the Cougar Classic hosted by Misericordia University.
Nazareth's record now stands at 1-0-2 on the year, while St. Lawrence moves to 3-0-1.
The Golden Flyers registered seven shots in both halves for a total of 14, compared to nine for the Saints. Freshman
Tatum Overton registered three of the shot attempts and
Haley Glassman had two.
Goalie
Annika Monfort was able to register her second consecutive shutout in net. She made six saves for
Gail Mann's squad. One of her best saves came late in the game in the 82
nd minute when she tipped a goal-bound shot from Hope Donoghue over the bar to help preserve the shutout.
Nazareth will square off against host Misericordia at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday for its final game of the Cougar Classic.
