All-Region teams
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Post-season honors continue to roll in for Nazareth basketball standouts Jadyn Abrams and Stephen Gabel. Both players were named to the D3hoops.com All-Region team.

Both were selected in Region 3, which encompasses most of New York State. Abrams was named to the first team and Gabel was named second team. More than 700 players were nomintaed and the voting was conducted among Sports Information Directors across the country. It marks the 21st year that D3hoops.com has selected all-region teams. Players from these lists are eligible for the D3hoops.com All-America teams, which will be released Saturday, March 19.

Abrams, a senior forward from Bath, N.Y., has been a four-year standout for the Golden Flyers and has been named Empire 8 Conference Player of the Year for the past two seasons. In 2021-22, she led the Golden Flyers in scoring at 16.2 points per game and was third in rebounding at 5.2 per game. She also sank a team-best 65 three-point baskets and sank 89.4 percent of her free throws (59-for-66). Her 1,340 career points rank her seventh all-time at Nazareth. She is tied for second place in career three-pointers with 182.

Gabel, a fifth-year senior from Victor, N.Y., was the Golden Flyers' leading scorer in 2021-22 at 17.8 points per game and was a first-team all-conference selection for the third year in a row. His career stat line includes 1,486 points -- good for ninth place on Nazareth's all-time list. He helped the Golden Flyers to a school-record 24 wins in '21-22 and an Empire 8 Conference title and the program's ninth NCAA Tournament selection.
