Freshman Katie MacLachlan sank a 3-pointer to start the overtime period and graduate student Jadyn Abrams followed with a pair of free throws as Nazareth (6-3) jumped out to a lead in the extra period.

After Reidinger connected on a pair of free throws late in the fourth quarter to give Nazareth a one-point lead Brockport (6-5) hit one of two free throws with nine seconds left to tie the game at 66-66.

After the early Nazareth lead in overtime, Brockport hit a 3-pointer to narrow the gap but MacLachlan connected on back-to-back jumpers to extend the lead to 75-69. MacLachlan scored all seven of her points in the overtime period.

Brockport scored the next four points to close within two points before Reidinger and graduate student Caley Cornwell made two free throws each to put the game out of reach.

Brockport missed a 3-pointer with 19 seconds left in the game and graduate student Kim Davis grabbed the rebound which was her 500th career rebound. She becomes just the 20th Golden Flyer to reach the rebounding milestone.

Nazareth used a huge third quarter to take a lead after falling behind late in the first half and trailed 34-28 at halftime. In the third, the freshman duo of Reidinger and Camille Wright scored 12 consecutive points to turn a nine-point deficit into a three-point lead with two minutes left in the quarter.

The Golden Flyers held an 18-9 scoring advantage in the period and never trailed again.

Reidinger led three players into double-digit scoring with her 21 points as Abrams added 16 and Davis scored 15. The 11 rebounds by Reidinger were complimented by eight rebounds each for Davis and Abrams. Wright added eight points and MacLachlan scored seven for Nazareth while Reidinger also handed out a team-best six assists and was 11-for-11 from the free throw line.

Nazareth returns home and will open the 2023 portion of the schedule with a road game against Empire 8 for Keuka January 3.
