Women's Hoops Wins Sixth-Straight With Victory Over Keuka, 58-42

KEUKA, NY – Jadyn Abrams and Brielle Reidinger each poured in 16 points to help Nazareth win its sixth-straight contest, a 58-42 triumph over Keuka College on Tuesday night. The Golden Flyers improve to 7-3 overall and 3-0 in Empire 8 play, while Keuka drops to 3-7 and 0-3, respectively.
 
Nazareth scored the first seven points of the contest, including Abrams tallying the Golden Flyers only 3-pointer of the half.  The purple and gold were 1-for-13 over the first 20 minutes from 3-point land and finished the game just 3-for-22.
 
It was a wire-to-wire lead for Nazareth as it held a 13-5 advantage after the first quarter. Statistically, Nazareth had its best shooting percentage from the field in the second quarter at 40 percent (6-for-15). On three separate occasions in the quarter, Nazareth held a 10-point advantage and it was a 25-17 margin at the half.
 
With the lead at 37-29 with 1:35 to play in the third, Nazareth scored the last seven points to take a 43-29 into the final quarter. Reidinger gave the visitors a 39-29 advantage at the 1:12 mark and the Golden Flyers held a double-digit margin the rest of the contest.
 
Abrams has now scored in double-digits in nine-of-10 games this season and is averaging 14.9 points per game. Reidinger has now scored in double figures in each of the last four contests, and recorded her fourth double-double after grabbing a game-high 13 rebounds. 
 
Caley Cornwell was the other Nazareth scorer in double figures with 10 points.
 
Kiara Anglin added eight boards and four points in the win.
 
Nazareth returns to action on Friday, taking on Medaille College in an Empire 8 matchup at 5:30 p.m.
