Volleyball Drops Rowan Tournament Opener

GLASSBORO, NJ – Sophomore Zoe Tylipakis recorded six kills and a .308 attack percentage to lead the Nazareth Women's Volleyball team but the Golden Flyers dropped a 3-0 decision to Salisbury University Friday night in the first round match of the Rowan Invitational Tournament in New Jersey.

Salisbury won the match 3-0 by set scores of 25-16, 25-10 and 25-12.

Tylipakis added five digs from the defensive side and sophomore Tessa Grover chipped in 13 assists and four digs.

Freshman Jenna Mattison had eight digs while senior Kaylee Kelly added five kills and four digs.

Nazareth will continue play in the Rowan Tournament Saturday against Rowan at 10 a.m. and Hunter at 12 p.m.
