Box Score KEUKA PARK, NY – Senior McKenzie Hart needed just two digs in the first set to clear the 1000-career digs milestone and although Nazareth dropped the first set, the Golden Flyers battled back with the help of 23 kills by junior Kaylee Kelly to defeat Keuka 3-1 in an Empire 8 match.
Hart had 998 career digs entering the match and finished with seven in the first set to clear the milestone. She finished with 23 digs to lead the Nazareth (6-6 overall, 2-1 E8) defense.
Kelly recorded her third consecutive double-digit kills match as she recorded 23 to lead the Nazareth offense. She had 18 in the win over Sage and tied her career high with 24 kills Saturday at Hartwick.
Keuka (4-9, 1-2 E8) won the opening set 25-17 before Nazareth came back to post set scores of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-22 to win the match.
Senior Olivia Quick had 11 kills and a .417 attack percentage, freshman Tessa Grover handed out 38 assists, seven digs and four blocks while fellow freshman Ella Kules had 12 digs. Kelly also had three aces and nine digs.
Nazareth returns home to face Hilbert in a non-conference match at 7 p.m. Thursday in Kidera Gymnasium.
