ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The ultra-modern Golisano Training Center was the setting for three Empire 8 women's tennis matches Saturday as the Golden Flyers remained unbeaten in conference play with a pair of 9-0 victories over Hartwick and Russell Sage.
Nazareth is 4-0 overall and in the E8 conference.
Aliya Guzman,
Brooke Murphy,
Marissa Towers,
Rachel Cook and
Theresa Hecht each won two singles matches.
Guzman and Murphy were a strong tadem at first doubles with a pair of 8-1 pro-set victories. Hecht and Towers also teamed up to win two doubles matches -- both by 8-0 scores.
Dorie Karandy won an 8-2 singles match at #4 against Hartwick while
Caroline Keegan filled that slot against Russell Sage. Another doubles point went to Keegan and
Hannah Chesner against Russell Sage, 8-1.
Nazareth is idle until next Sunday when the Golden Flyers host Alfred at 1 p.m.
