GENESEO, NY – Senior Cole Moore scored the lone goal for the Nazareth College Men's Hockey team but the Golden Flyers dropped a 7-1 decision to SUNY Geneseo Saturday night in the first road contest of the season.

Geneseo (2-0-0) scored twice in the first 3:25 of the game to take an early lead. Nazareth (0-2-0) settled down and kept the Knights off the board for the remainder of the period and went into the first break down a pair of goals.

In the second period, Geneseo increased the lead to 3-0 with a goal five minutes into the stanza but Moore answered for the Golden Flyers less than three minutes later as he scored on a pass from junior Henry McKinney. The power play goal made the score 3-1.

Geneseo added two more goals before the end of the period and took a 5-1 lead into the second intermission.

The Knights scored a powerplay goal early in the third period and then capped the scoring with an even strength goal at the 11:11 mark of the third.
