Updated stats
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- University of Rochester outscored Nazareth 6-0 in the second half Saturday to rally past host Nazareth for a 10-5 women's lacrosse victory over the Golden Flyers in non-conference action.

The Yellowjackets improved to 2-1 overall, while Nazareth dropped to 1-3. The Golden Flyers play their next two games in Florida during their spring break. They play Simmons College Monday at 4:30 p.m. and Illinois Wesleyan Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Both games are in Englewood, Fla.

Saturday's result was disappointing in that Nazareth led 4-1 after Tori Blazey scored with 12:40 left in the first half. After UR countered with two goals, Lily Aldrich scored her second goal of the game to put Nazareth up 5-3 with less than eight minutes to play in the first half. UR then scored with just :07 left in the half to trim the lead to 5-4.

UR tightened its defense in the second half, forcing 13 Nazareth turnovers while scoring six times unanswered. The Yellowjackets scored three times before the second half was four minutes old to erase the deficit and to put Nazareth on the defensive. Nazareth had second-half scoring chances, but misfired on two free-position shots in the final 30 minutes and eight overall. Mary Panepento scored three goals for UR, including two during the second-half rally. Maggie McKenna and Emily Voss each scored twice.

Aldrich had two assists in addition to her two goals for Nazareth. Blazey, Emma States and Callahan Lyon were the other goal scorers.

Nazareth finished with a 28-24 edge in shots with Katie Lawrence making eight saves in goal. Vicki Arena had four ground balls and five draw controls.
