OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Nazareth dropped a pair of men's volleyball matches Saturday at the Stevenson Invitational, falling in three sets against Lancaster Bible and four sets against Marymount University of Virginia.
The Golden Flyers also lost in three sets Friday to Loras University of Iowa and will bring a 2-5 overall record into next weekend's home tournament at the Kidera Gymnasium. Scores against Lancaster Bible were 25-20, 25-20, 25-15. Nazareth split the first two sets against Marymount, losing the first 25-16 and then winning the second 25-18. Marymount won sets three and four 25-21, 25-19.
Lancaster Bible used an efficient .370 (42-15-73) hitting percentage to make short work of the Golden Flyers.
Sean Dillon led the Golden Flyers with nine kills in 12 attempts for a.667 percentage.
Joe Crosby added six kills and
Antonio Sargent had five.
Luis Vazquez had 25 assists.
Against Marymount, Sargent had a career-best 17 kills -- one more than he collected in Friday's match against Loras -- and Crosby added nine kills in 16 attempts with one hitting error for a .500 success percentage. Dillon had eight kills and four blocks.
Vazquez contributed 31 assists and freshman libero
Seth Terzo had 14 digs.
