POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Sophomore McKenzie Hart recorded the second most digs in school history as she finished with 39 and helped the Nazareth College women's volleyball team to a five-set victory over Medaille College Friday night in the first match of the Vassar College Tournament.
Nazareth (5-4), won for the fifth time in the last six matches and started with a 25-15 first set victory to take the early lead. Medaille (2-10) answered with a 25-20 win in the second set before the Golden Flyers regained the lead with a 25-20 win in the third. The Mavericks came back to win a 28-26 set in the fourth to force the fifth set but Nazareth controlled play from the midpoint on with a 15-10 win to take the match.
