ELMIRA, N.Y. -- Visiting Nazareth gained its first Empire 8 Conference win of the season and extended its unbeaten streak to six games Saturday as the Golden Flyers scored five second-half goals in a 6-0 romp over Elmira.
The Golden Flyers, 3-0-3 over their last six games, improved to 5-2-3 overall and 1-0-2 in conference play. Elmira is 2-7-1 and 0-4.

Mallory Ott scored a pair of goals and freshman
Ashley Plane and sophomore
Caleigh Cahoon each registered one goal and one assist to lead the way. The last five goals came in a 24-minute second-half flurry that enabled the Golden Flyers to break open a close game.
Nazareth dominated the first half with a 21-1 shooting advantage, but managed only an unassisted goal from
Mary LoCicero in the 22nd minute to take the lead into halftime. It was LoCicero's team-leading fifth goal.
In the second half, Ott scored twice in less than four minutes to extend Nazareth's lead. She scored first off a pass from Plane in the 50th minute, then later converted an opportunity from
Elizabeth Guidi for a 3-0 advantage.
Cahoon's goal came in the 58th minute and she then assisted on Plane's first career goal in the 69th minute. Junior
Kirsten Reese also delivered her first career goal in the 74th minute off the first career assist from freshman
Mia Blitsch.

Gabrielle Pighetti combined for the shutout. Nazareth visits RIT for a non-conference game Tuesday at 4 p.m. and then returns home to host Alfred Saturday at 12 p.m.
