Rochester, NY – Nazareth strung together its fourth-straight victory on Saturday, making quick work of Elmira in a 19-2 win on the Artificial Turf. Over the four game stretch, Nazareth has outscored its opponents by an 80-22 margin.
The Golden Flyers are now 7-4 overall and 3-1 in league play, while the Soaring Eagles drop to 2-8 and 1-3, respectively.
In total, Nazareth had thirteen different scorers in the game.
Haley DeVona and
Kellie Byrne each had three goals and one assist in the win.
Katie Carroll and
Emily Allen were each good for two goals on the day.
Nazareth found the net 13 times in the opening half and led 13-1 going into the break.
Regan McGwin made it 10-1 at the 11 minute mark off an assist from
Jessica Locey. Locey, who also had a goal in the win, rattled off three-straight assists for the Golden Flyers, including the next tally from
Jordan Knapp.
Brianna Rizzari made three saves, while allowing one goal in her 30 minutes of action.
Mackenzie Corbett finished the second half with two saves and one goal allowed.
Bridget Collins poured in three points with a goal and two assists.
Maeghan O'Brien, along with
Rachel Wilson contributed a goal and an assist.
Addilys Geitner and
Morgan Johnson rounded out the scoring for the hosts.
Nazareth returns to action on Wednesday, traveling to East Avenue rival St. John Fisher for a 7 p.m. contest.
