Jamie Martin scored four goals, pushing her career total to 100, as Nazareth defeated Keene State 12-9 Friday in its final spring break trip game. Martin also had two assists in the win.
Nazareth improves to 3-3 on the year with the victory, while the Owls drop to 1-5.
It took four lead changes throughout the game before Nazareth took the lead for good, 8-7, at the 13:58 mark on an extra-man goal from
Bridget Collins. Martin had one of her two assists of the day on the goal.
Haley DeVona had bookend goals between Keene State's Taylor Farland later in the half to push the Golden Flyers lead to 10-8. She had three goals and two assists in the win.
Martin scored two important insurance goals over the final 6:27 to help the Golden Flyers earn the victory.
Bridget Collins contributed two goals in the victory, while
Kellie Byrne notched a goal and two assists to her belt.
Katie Carroll and
Tori Blazey each were credited with a goal.
Brianna Rizzari made eight saves in net for the Golden Flyers.
Nazareth returns to action next Saturday, hosting Stevens at 1 p.m. for its conference-opener.
