GLASSBORO, N.J.-- Nazareth's cross country teams concluded their respective 2018 seasons Saturday as both teams competed at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals hosted by Rowan University.
Nazareth finished in 20th place among 44 teams in the women's 6-kilometer race with 626 points. Geneseo won the meet with 28 points, followed by Rensselaer with 89 and St. Lawrence with 128.
The Golden Flyers finished 26th among 45 teams in the men's 8-kilometer race with 774 points. Rensselaer set the pace with 26 points, followed by Geneseo with 59 and RIT with 122.
Freshman
Hayley Cronin, two weeks removed from winning the Empire 8 Conference title, paced the Golden Flyers again by finishing in 62nd place with a time of 24:14.7. Sophomore
Deirdre Brett was next for the Golden Flyers in 101st place (24:53.9). Senior
Eileen Shea and junior
Maria Staehr finished one place apart in 149th and 150th respectively with times of 25:45.7 and 25:46.1.

Claire Bargabos (170, 26:10.3) and sophomore
Kaitlyn Dobbertin (179, 26:19.1) also competed for the Golden Flyers. Geneseo's Elise Ramirez fon the race in 21:50.5.
In the men's race, sophomore Christopher Celecki was clocked in 28:40.5 to finish in 130th place. Sophomore Michael Brown was next in 140th place (28:46.9), followed by senior Jack Wessel in 160th place (29:04.0).
Other Nazaeth competitors included freshman Josh Tomaka (169, 29:16.2), senior Andrew Gwynn (175, 29:23.4), freshman Jake Suddaby (179, 29:27.0) and sophomore Devyn Chase (209, 30:22.5) also competed for the Golden Flyers. Grant O'Connor of Rensselaer won the race in 26:00.8.
