Nazareth College Athletics

Communication Sciences and Disorders and Spanish major... daughter of Richard and Nube Staehr, Auburn, N.Y...returning for her third cross country season, Staehr ran well for the Golden Flyers in 2018 by finishing 18th at the Empire 8 Conference championship meet at Alfred with a time of 27:33.1, good for second-team all-conference honors... ran a personal-best 6-kilometer time of 24:56.3 at Letchworth State Park to finish in 62nd place at the Geneseo Invitational... continued to excel during the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons as she finished third in both the 400- and 800-meter runs at the Empire 8 Conference outdoor meet... earned second-team all-conference honors in the 4 x 400-meter relay (4:08.20)... finished 13th in the 400 at the All-Atlantic Regional Championship meet with a personal-best time of :59.24... helped Nazareth to an indoor conference title in the 4 x 400-meter relay (4:05.19)... also helped team to second place in the distance medley relay (13:09.63) and finished third in the 800 (2:23.86) and fourth in the 400 (1:01.69) at the E8 indoor meet.

2017-18: Staehr ran regularly in cross country for the Golden Flyers in 2017 and finished 25th at the Empire 8 Conference meet with a 6-kilometer time of 26:49.3... ran a season-best of 25:39.9 at the NCAA Atlantic Regional at Houghton on 11/11/17... ran well for the Golden Flyers during the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons, finishing fourth in the 400-meter dash at the Empire 8 Conference outdoor meet with a time of 1:00.80... also fourth in the same event during the indoor season with a time of 1:00.92... was part of the 4 x 400-meter relay team that finished first at the E8 indoor meet with a winning time of 4:10.67... also was Nazareth's representative as E8 Sportswoman of the Year during the indoor season.

2016-17: competed indoors for the Golden Flyers in 2017 and was part of the winning 4 x 400 meter relay team (4:09.79) at the Empire 8 Indoor Championships on 2/10/17 ... placed first in the 500 (1:23.77) at the RIT Early Season Invitational.

Scholastic: a graduate of Union Springs High School, Staehr competed in soccer as well as indoor and outdoor track and field... earned team MVP honors during the outdoor season in 2016 after winning Section Four Class D titles in the 800-meter run and the 3200-meter relay... during the indoor season, Staehr finished fourth in the 60-meter dash and second in the 3200-meter relay... recipient of several academic awards and scholarships, including the Class of 1928 Scholarship, the Cayuga County Vietnam Veterans Award, the Union Springs Lions Club Scholarship and the Union Springs Teachers Association Scholarship.
