BROCKPORT, NY – Host Brockport scored a goal in each period to blank Nazareth 3-0 Tuesday night in non-conference action. Two goals came at even strength, while the final goal came at an empty net with :19 seconds remaining.
The Golden Flyers have now lost two straight games, dropping to 8-7-2 overall, while Brockport moves to 9-6-1.
Brockport's game-winning goal came 6:30 into the contest as Connor Bass beat freshman goalie Sean Kuhn for his second goal of the season. Kuhn, making his second career start (1-1), stopped 36-of-38 shots between the pipes.
In the second period, the hosts added to the lead just over two minutes in on a goal from Brandon McMartin, assisted by Ethan Solat and Zac Sikich.
Neither team could capitalize on the power play throughout the game, with Nazareth finishing the game 0-for-5, while the Golden Eagles ended 0-for-4.
Ryan Walter paced Nazareth with four shots, while Matt Manzella and Austin Romzek each tallied three towards Nazareth's game total of 22. Brockport held a large disparity in that category, as they finished the game with 41.
Nazareth returns to conference action on Friday, traveling to Utica for a 7 p.m. contest.
