ROCHESTER, NY – Seniors
Kate Rothrock (career goals) and
Jamie Martin (career points) each surpassed career milestones in a 24-4 win over Alfred Saturday on Senior Day. Rothrock had three goals to push her career total to 101 – she also had three assists. Martin poured in three goals and dished out four assists, moving to 102 points for her career.
Nazareth (10-6 overall, 6-2 Empire 8) has secured the No. 3 seed for next weekend's Empire 8 Championship, hosted by top-seeded Ithaca (8-0 Empire 8). The Golden Flyers will take on second-seeded Stevens (7-1 Empire 8) at 1:30 on Saturday, May 6. St. John Fisher is the fourth-seed (5-3 Empire 8) and will take on No. 1 Ithaca.
The Golden Flyers scored three goals in the first two minutes, one at the hands of Martin. She later assisted
Bridget Collins and
Haley DeVona to make it 3-0.
Later in the half, back-to-back goals from Rothrock made it 8-0 in favor of the Golden Flyers.
Emily Allen scored her first collegiate goal and added another in the first for the offense that was clicking on all cylinders.
The Golden Flyers lead blossomed to 16-2 at the half.
Gabbie Charles, who had three goals on the day, opened up the scoring for Nazareth in the second off an assist from Martin.
Defender
Andrea Stekl scored her first career-goal 14 minutes in to make it 20-2. Later on she notched another goal for the Golden Flyers.
In all, Nazareth had 13 different scorers, including

Brianna Rizzari and
