Freshmen Lizzie Straub and Delaney Martin also scored in double figures with 13 and 10 points respectively.

Nazareth got off to a good start, leading 15-3 in the first five minutes as Sorge drained a pair of three-point baskets and Peebles completed a conventional three-point play. Houghton rallied to within three, 21-18, late in the quarter, but a basket by freshman Erica Bradley and a free throw by Peebles stretched the lead to 24-18 after 10 minutes.

Houghton closed to within three, 26-23, early in the second quarter, but the Golden Flyers used a 17-6 run, including the final 10 points of the period, to open their largest lead of the half, 43-29, at the break. Martin, who registered career highs in points (10) and rebounds (7),  scored eight of her points in that stretech and Straub had two baskets, including a three-pointer.

Nazareth's lead continued to swell in the third quarter. First a hoop by Rose Pedretti and a basket and a free throw by Rachel Benedict stretched the lead to 48-29. The largest lead was 65-43 following a three-pointer by Straub with 1:02 left in the quarter.

Houghton played hard until the end and was able to close within 11 points late in the game, but Benedict sank a pair of free throws in the closing minute to preserve Nazareth's double-digit advantage. Benedict finished with nine points and 10 boards.
