ITHACA, NY – The men's soccer squad lost its second consecutive one goal game, falling 1-0 to host Ithaca College Saturday afternoon.
Nazareth drops to 3-4-1 overall and 0-1-1 in Empire 8 play, while Ithaca moves to 4-4-0 and 2-0 in league play.
The Golden Flyers had to play from behind early on as Ithaca converted a chance just 3:49 in from Kevin Turi.
Nazareth's offense generated just six shots throughout the game and was held without a corner kick. Ithaca, on the other hand, had 15 shots and five corner kicks.
Ithaca had to play down a man the final 1:42 of the game as Alexander Brosnihan was issued a red card for running into goalkeeper
Brian Wilkin.
Nate Ripic came in to finish the game in between the pipes.
Wilkin finished the game with five saves.
Francesco Viavattne had two shots in the loss.
Nazareth returns to action on Tuesday, when it will host Geneseo at 4 p.m.
